Objective To present the different dimensions of development economics, from a theoritical and empirical perspective.
Content The course presents a panorama of development around the world, the theories underlying the development policies and their economic and social dimensions.
Course Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students have a good knowledge of the evolution of the question of development and of the theories underlying the development economics,. They are able to analyse empirical data regarding the different aspects of development.
Teaching and Learning Methods The course is based on lectures.
The elements of the lectures, mainly the empirical ones, are sent previously to the students. Students are invited to complete the sent documents by notes taken during the lecture.
