Objective The course focuses first on the freedom of expression and then on
the legal regulations of the different mass communication means
Content Week 1.Introduction to communication law
Week 2.Vitoria and the right to communicate
Week 3. The limits of the freedom of expression/ Spinoza and Mill
Week 4. The limits of the freedom of expression according to the
enforcement mechanisms of international human rights treaties
Week 5.The limits of the freedom of expression (1) moral
Week 6. The limits of the freedom of expression (2) national
security and territorial integrity
Week 7. Written press/ Introduction (1)
Week 8. Written press/ Periodics regime (2)
Week 9. Penal liability in press crimes

Course Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, the student:
- Will be able to determine the limits of the freedom of
expression in the lights of the jurisprudence of the
universal and regional human rights mechanisms.
- Will have a detailed knowledge of the legal regulations
in the field of written press, audiovisual media and
internet.
Teaching and Learning Methods Comparaison of the international conventions and domectic law ans analyse of decisions concerning the subjekts.
