Objective The objective of the course is to make students acquire the capacities and aptitudes stated under the title “Course Learning Outcomes”
Content Sources of Zoning Law: Zoning Plans (upper scale and subscale plans, hierarchy of plans, piecemeal and supplementary zoning plans, modifications of plans, fundamentals on judicial review of plans), Zoning Program, Expropriation, Subdivision, Allotting and Amalgamation, Construction Permit, Occupancy Permit, Zoning Measures, Zoning Sanctions, Specific Zoning Regulations, Urban Transformation.
Course Learning Outcomes - to have comprehensive information on the principles and rules of Turkish Zoning Law as well as the case law of Council of State,
- to have ability to assess zoning law rules from fundamental rights and freedoms, particularly property rights perspective and to have a grasp of case law of national and international courts,
- to have ability to solve legal issues on the implementation of administrative law procedure and case law to zoning law,
- to have legal background on specific zoning regulations,
- to learn legal rules on urban transformation and to have ability to consider the legal issues arising from them
Teaching and Learning Methods Lecturing and practical studies.
