The course objective is to give to the student basıc knowledge on,
• Sets, operations with sets,
• Relations and functions,
• Calculations with reel numbers,
• The course also aims to give to the studient mathematical knowledge necessary for following up the course of statistics in second year.

3) Calculations with real numbers, absolute value, equations and inequalities containing absolute value.

4) Polynomials and factorization polynomials.
5) Quadratic equations .
6)Quadratic equations, inequalities and polynomials, sign of the quadratic polynomials.
7) Linear and quadratic functions and parabola.

At the end of the course, the studient will,
1) Carry out operations with sets,
2) Make calculations with reel numbers,
3) Handle polynomials and factorize them,
4) Quadratic equations and inequalities, draw their graphs.

The course consist of passing on student the theoritical concepts with exemples, as well as solving problems in the class related to subjects considered.
In addition, a follow up of students with the support of exemples supplied and homeworks to prepare.
