Objective | To study the importance of Francophone literature, the contribution of this literature to French literature and to explain why it has been labelled "world francophone literature". |

Course Learning Outcomes | To examine "world Francophone literature" and its relationship to French literature. Further to study and recognise contemporary writers of Francophone literature especially Algerian writers writing in French like Assia Djebar, Maïssa Bey, Malika Mokedem or Leïla Sebbar, Nina Bouraoui... |
Teaching and Learning Methods | To analyse the characteristics of north african Francophone literature particularly in regards to space, identity and otherness in these novels. Further to look at common themes especially autobiography and autoficton. |
