| Objective | To study the importance of Francophone literature, the contribution of this literature to French literature and to explain why it has been labelled "world francophone literature". |
| Content | To examine regional and cultural characteristics and influences on Francophone literature and the differing approaches towards space and cultural otherness in the works of writers like Assia Djebar, Maïssa Bey, Malika Mokedem or Leïla Sebbar, Nina Bouraoui... |
