Objective To teach the basic regulations of Turkish law in the field of electronic commerce; to develop students' legal analytical thinking skills on issues such as electronic contracts, data transfer, electronic signature, consumer protection, intermediary services and platform liability.

Course Learning Outcomes By the end of this course, students will:
1. Explain the legal foundations of the concept of electronic commerce.
2. Interpret Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce.
3. Evaluate the establishment and validity conditions of electronic contracts.
4. Analyze distance contracts and platform liability in terms of consumer law.
5. Evaluate ecosystem-complementing issues such as personal data protection and cookie policies.
6. Explain state supervision, administrative sanctions, and the liability regime in electronic commerce.
7. Interpret new regulations regarding the digital platform economy and intermediary service providers.
Teaching and Learning Methods Courses are conducted in a lecture-based format, followed by case analysis and legislative review.

• Judicial decisions, as well as decisions of the Advertising Board and the Personal Data Protection Authority, are reviewed.

• Students may be expected to provide short case solutions.
