Objective | Provide information that will allow us to question / criticize the changes we are experiencing today by establishing the relationship between technological changes, especially in the field of printing, and social life. |
Content | The emergence of writing, the history of the book, the history of the printing press, the social effects of technological developments, current printing techniques and (eventual) changes created by these techniques. |
Course Learning Outcomes | At the end of this course, the student will have knowledge about the emergence of writing, the history of the book, the history and social effects of printing, the effects of printing in the Ottoman Empire, and today's printing technologies. |
