Objective The main objective of the course is to provide knowledge of the different theoretical approaches to film, from the institutionalisation of cinema to the present day, with a view to making a link between the early days and today.
Content - Introduction to film theory and film criticism
- A new form of aesthetics, a new medium?

- The theory of the Author
- The theory of the device
- Psychoanalysis
- Feminist theory
- Spectator theory and the star system
Course Learning Outcomes - To know the different theorists and their theories that have allowed cinema to reach the status of art
- Know how to relate the different artistic and scientific movements to the development of the language of film-
