Objective This course’s aim is to introduce the students to the main subjects, concepts, ideologies and theories of the political science in order to provide them with a frame of fundamental political analysis.
Content The course contains definitions, different theoretical dimensions and different approaches of political phenomenon, political science, State and bureaucracy. It also contains different meanings attached to notions like ideologies and their origins, history and theoretical contents (especially related to liberalism, socialism and nationalism). The course also treats the origins of democracy and political parties.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who have followed and successfully completed the course are able to :

1) master intellectually the main concepts of political science
2) understand types of reasoning and theories of political science
Teaching and Learning Methods The course is based on the lectures given by the instructor.
