Objective The purpose of this course is to teach the theoretical debates about the other, otherness, new communication scheme, and new forms of intercultural communication from the past to the present.
Content Introduction to the concepts of culture, identity and intercultural communication
The concepts and theories of Other and Otherness
Course Learning Outcomes Having the knowledge about the Other and Otherness
Understanding the conflicts that reflects the current period due to various differences
Understanding communicational problems caused by cultural differences and their possible solutions
Teaching and Learning Methods The course consists of collective lectures and presentations by Phd students. They do apart readings and studies for midterms and final exams.
