Objective The purpose of this course is to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills in modern methods of designing and developing mobile applications, especially programming skills to develop applications for Android-based mobile systems
Content 1. Introduction to Mobile Computing and Technologies
2. Mobile System Design
3. General Structure of Android Operating System
4. Fundamentals of Android apps and life cycle
5. Access to Web services and web services - XML technologies
6. Intent concept and common perceptions
7. SMS, network and internete access via Android
8. Access permissions, Service and Alarm concepts
9. Background processing and Thread concept
10. Maps and location based services
11. Introduction to Swift programming language
12. Swift: xcode playground examples
13. Swift: graphical interface elements
14. Swift: simple network communication with SWIFT
Course Learning Outcomes At the end of the course the student can,
1. Recognize mobile application platforms.
2. Select the hardware and software needed to develop mobile applications
3. Install the necessary software for the mobile application platform
4. Actively use the mobile application environment
5. Design visual interfaces with development language
6. Write, read and process data with the language of development
7. Guiding touch and gestures with development language
8. Communicate other applications with applications
9. Embrace the monitoring and debugging functions of the program
