Objective The aim of this course is giving the student a knowledge about
different sociological approaches and methods by which the social
phenomena is explained. In this course, key theories and theorists
will be discussed.

Course Learning Outcomes After the end of this course, the student will have the ability of:
- Naming the basic theories/ theorists of socilogy as well as
the key works of the field.
- Defining basic concepts in the frame of different
approaches.
- Classifying sociologists and concepts in the frame of
varying theories.
- Making a corelation between theory and practice
- Comparing theorists and their theories
- Questioning the social by means of basic theories.
