| Course Learning Outcomes |
The ability to grasp the signs in literary texts of different genres. The ability to attribute meanings to them. The ability to perceive and interpret the implicit elements in literary texts. The ability to compare the semiotic universe of literary texts with their adaptations and translations, and to evaluate instances of designification in these transfers. |
| Teaching and Learning Methods |
Introduce the concepts and principles of a theoretical approach and methodical analysis. Work through case studies together in class. Launch a class discussion on the text to be analyzed. Encourage students to participate in the analysis process through question-and-answer sessions. Give students the opportunity to experiment with semiotic analysis on a text of their choice and present their work in class. |
