Objective This course aims to familiarize students with the theories of narrative analysis and to introduce them to the use of analysis tools on a varied corpus of text. The type of text that will mainly be the subject of this course is the novel, the most read and most studied genre.
Content Theories of narrative analysis and applications on a corpus of varied texts.
Course Learning Outcomes 1. Become familiar with the theories of narrative analysis and its tools
2. Learn to apply the tools of narrative analysis to various text
Teaching and Learning Methods Each course will combine discussions around readings of theoretical texts, explanatory and theoretical lessons and application to texts in class. The readings are given in advance and are mandatory because they are necessary for the establishment of a discussion and common reflection. Participation in discussions and reading will be evaluated, as well as the preparation of a presentation per student (after the partial).
