Objective This introductory cours aims to teach basics of French literature and its evolution throughout the centuries to the undergraduates .
Content In this course, it is aimed to review French literature beginning from its first written and oral literary examples in middle ages till XXth century.
Course Learning Outcomes To familiarize with the literary movements and their representatives, important names of this movements

To be able to evaluate the development of French literature from the Middle Ages to the present in a holistic manner.

To gain the ability to make connections between the French literature of the period in question and its historical, social, political and intellectual conditions in a historical perspective
