Objective In this course, it is aimed to examine modernism, postmodernism and transformation of capitalism, arising of the concept of globalisation and the function of international communication networks in this transformation and to discuss developing and growing communication industry within various paradigms.

Course Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, the student shall:
-Assess capitalism, globalisation and the relationships between international communication orders with their causes and effects and under a historical perspective,
-Learn about the function of international media and entertainment industry ever growing in this new economic regime with examples,
-Have the opportunity to learn about and compare different media systems in different regions and their working.
