Objective | The objective of this course is contextualizing and positioning of an ambiguous and broad-range notion of globalization in conjunction with the different disciplines of social sciences. Within this framework, the history of globalization will be considered with its different dimensions. |
Content | The course will be held by seminars in which different topics associated with the subject of globalization will be discussed. |
Course Learning Outcomes |
Thinking on the concept and history of globalization. Evaluating the connections of globalization with different disciplines of social sciences. Analyzing the relationship between globalization and democracy |
Teaching and Learning Methods | The course will be mainly based on the lecture of the different faculty members. Different academic texts relevant to the topics concerning globalization will be introduced and discussed. By choosing one of the topics treated at the sessions, students will do research and prepare a written assignment. |
