Objective A significant portion of computer security topics relates to security issues in computer networks. This course provides an introduction and roadmap for students who wish to delve deeper into these topics.
Content This course will cover topics such as the working principles of DHCP, the misuse of DHCP packets through broadcast storming attacks, the working principles of the DNS system, security issues related to the DNS system, network setup and security preferences, an introduction to email servers and Active Directory, and the impact of Layer 7 and user-level choices and behaviors on security.
