Objective | This course aims to teach the legal concepts and rules applicable to international construction contracts. |
Content | This course treats subjects including FIDIC contracts, rights and obligations in these contracts, concepts such as wages, delays, in which cases additional time and fees may be claimed, DAB mechanism in case of a conflict, and the resolution of dispute in arbitration. |
Course Learning Outcomes | At the end of the course, students will learn about the contract types used in international construction contracts, general concepts, the rights and obligations of the parties, and how to resolve an international construction dispute. |
Teaching and Learning Methods | The course is composed of lectures which discuss theoretical aspects and cases. |
