Objective The course objective is to provide detailed information on the Turkish Private International Law system and the application of conflict of laws method to the different private law issues (contracts, family law, capacity, torts, etc.).
Content This course revisits the methods for finding the applicable norm in private international law and analyzes conflict of laws for various legal relationships.
Course Learning Outcomes Students who have successfully completed this course is capable of understanding Turkish conflict of laws system as well as appliying necessary rules to determine the law applicable for each legal issues of private law which concern a foreign element.

Teaching and Learning Methods The course is composed of lectures which discuss theoretical aspects and cases.
