1 Program Outcomes A student who has successfully completed this programme is able to : 1- The student will be able to master theoretical and empirical knowledge in the field of sociology. 2- The student may acquire a capacity of sociological thinking by using principal concepts of different fields of social sciences. 3- The student may develop an awareness of interdisciplinary interactions. 4- The student will acquire necessary intellectual devices provided by social sciences to better understand Turkish society. S/he can learn to develop a multi-dimensional and analytical perspective to problems of present Turkey. 5. The student will be informed of processes of cultural, social and political changes of Turkish society and can acquire the capacity of comparative analysis of these processes. 6-The student acquires not only knowledge but also a capacity of independent and critical thinking. 7- The student may acquire a capacity of building associations between sociological theories and his/her everyday practices and a better analysis of personal experiences 8- The student may develop a capacity of defining, analyzing and providing policy recommendations for the problems that s/he is facing in the fields that s/he is active. 9- The student can make original and consistent contributions in the fields that s/he is active. 10- The student may conduct independent research and provide contributions in the projects related to the fields that s/he is active. 11- The student can analyze relations with the partners and manage the coordination in the fields that s/he is active. 12- The student may gain awareness about caring and protecting the universality of social rights, social justice, environmental and cultural values.
