Objective The objective is to give students a good understanding of major theories of corporate finance.
Content 1. Lecture: Introduction to corporate finance & basics of corporate governance
2. Lecture: Fundamental financial statements and financial statement analysis
3. Lecture: Time value of money and bonds
4. Lecture: Portfolio theory and asset pricing models
5. Lecture: Efficient markets and stocks
6. Lecture: Financial planning – I
7. Lecture: Financial planning – II
8. Lecture: Midterm exam
9. Lecture: Financial decision-making – I
10. Lecture: Financial decision-making – II
11. Lecture: Financial decision-making – III
12. Lecture: Capital structure
13. Lecture: Dividend policies
14. Lecture: Derivative financial instruments
Course Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students should:
1. understand major theories of finance;
2. use the methods for analyzing investment projects;
3. determine the cost of capital;
4. define the optimum mix of financing;
5. understand major determinants of dividend policy.

1 At the end of the program successful students, Will have a good command of the concepts and theories of different areas of Business Administration such as Production, Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Management and Organizational Behavior and will have an integrative point of view to understand the interaction between these domains.
