Objective

The objective of this course is to cover the transitional period from mono party rule to democratic competitive political system in Turkey during the early repulican era.

Course Content

In this course, Turkish political developments since the early republican era up to 60’s are to be studied. Especially political institutions and political parties are the core of the study. After the World War II, the issues such as the transition to multi-party regime from the mono party rule and the differentiation of the political parties are to be the subject of the research. During this semester, the period of 1923-1960 will be main subject of concern.
