| Objective | The goal of this course is to evaluate the years 1950-2000 on the basis of the major turning points of the Turkish political life. Through a chronological approach, the principal actors, institutions and mechanisms of the Turkish political life will be examined in the course. |
| Content | Initially, the course will treat through an analytical vision the actors, the institutions and the mechanisms playing a significant role in the Turkish political life. Thereafter, the historical milestones will be dealt in a chronological way. |

| Teaching and Learning Methods | The course will be constituted of the presentations made by the lecturer on given subjects and interactive in-class discussions. Moreover, the students will contribute to the course with the presentations they will do, subjects of which will be predetermined. |
