Objective | Criminology is the science that attempts to explain the phenomenon of crime, to prevent and provide the best possible social reactions to crime. This course touches on so many topics, such as the definition of deviance and "normality", the definition of criminal deviance, the measure of crime, theories explaining the phenomenon of crime, crime prevention, social reaction to crime, criminal sanctions, the prison population and crime policy. |
