Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with an analytical perspective on the economic and social infrastructure of the first 300 years of the Ottoman Empire.

Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

-Understand the dynamics of the founding period of the Ottoman State.
-Comprehend the structure of the empire.
-Analyze the economic and social order of the Ottoman State prior to modernization.
