Through the various theories in sociology, the aim of the course is to provide theoretical bases considered to be useful for analyzing social phenomena of the contemporary world.
Content We tried to group these theories through themes of culture and identity.
Through the theme of culture, we will try to discuss the theories of Norbert Elias, of the Frankfurt School, School of Cultural Studies and through facts of civilization, mass culture, popular culture.
The notion of identity will be discussed mainly through works of Pierre Bourdieu, Alain Touraine, Michel Foucault and Anthony Giddens.
