Objective In this course, it is aimed that students learn about alternative media opportunities that cannot find a place in the mainstream media, and to adopt requirements of journalism that respects gender, racial, cultural and religious differences which can mostly be discussed in the alternative media.

Course Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, the student shall:

-Learn about alternative media opportunities which stand with the a liberalizing and participating attitude against traditional media that continually globalises and loses its polyphony in national markets,

-Learn about the facilities provided by technology for alternative media,

-Learn about discriminative attitudes observed frequently in traditional media with examples and be able to develop a critical point of view,

-Learn about how to battle against discrimination in media and the requirements for a journalism that is respects human rights.

16 They are familiar with the research, planning, implementation and evaluation processes in public relations and advertising; they can create campaigns, present them effectively and write reports
