1. Identify the major concepts and findings of the current research on HCI
2. Articulate their own particular interests in the context of these main research contributions;
3. Critique human-computer interaction processes and system interfaces in terms of the research on HCI
4. Propose system design features which might facilitate system use, based on their understanding of HCI
